Lesson No.3 - Creating Reflections in Oil Paint

Always brush reflections downwards starting with the lighter colours first.  Reflections generally appear darker in the water.  I am using a soft Taklon flat brush size 6 for a smooth look.  With the brush on the side, go through everything horizontally with light strokes leaving suggestions of ripples in the water.  Wipe your brush off on a rag continually so as not to move the paint too far across.  When it dries, we will go back and dab in extra highlights and detail that may have been lost while feathering it off this time.
