Lesson No. 4 - Realistic Ripples in Water
I started painting the ripple around the flamingo's beak in darks first to get an idea of the shape. It touches his knee and extends a little behind the leg. It is more of an oval than a circle. I then filled it in with the middle green colour, leaving some of the larger gaps for the light blue highlights. You can keep readjusting the circle as you change colours and tones. I used a fine pointy brush as it really is more like drawing lines than painting.
