Before we proceed further down the canvas, we need to incorporate the flamingo's leg reflection. I decided to use Permanent Rose as my flamingo pink. Reflections appear slightly darker in water than the object above, so I added a touch of Ultramarine Blue to my mix and lightly painted the leg's reflection. I then continued with the lines of the ripples in my greens and yellows to match them to the reflection's ripples. As they go through the pink reflection, the darker green ripples will become darker pink and the lighter ripples, a light pink. Keep the edges of the reflection soft - remember you are still only painting water.
